Learning to Love my Enemies

As a little girl I could not understand what it meant to love my enemies.

Growing up I was often told and retold the stories and teachings of Jesus One of the most difficult teachings for me to grasp until several years ago was the teaching of “love your enemies and pray for those who spitefully use you…” I found it nearly impossible to comprehend how to go about loving my enemies. And why on earth would I pray for those who used me? I barely knew how to love my family and friends, and certainly didn’t love myself. Loving my enemies was beyond my intellectual and emotional grasp.

After an experience in my kitchen a few years ago, an experience which changed my life forever, I get it.

I was given the gift of feeling what love really is. It isn’t an emotion, it is energy in motion. It is the God force energy that exists in all things, even me. I finally understood that I am love. I am divine love. I am one with God – the energy of love. It is the stuff I am made of and all things are made of. It is the glue that binds all things and beings together. Every leaf, blade of grass, flowers and wind, my heart and yes, even those who I may have once seen as my enemy, are the embodiment of love.

There is nothing that isn’t love! We just can’t see it through fear-full perceptions.

So, what does it mean to love your enemy and pray for those who spitefully use you? It means to recognize that YOU are the source of love. When you love your enemy, you see them through the eyes of love. When you pray for those who spitefully use you, you want their spite to be healed. That is the Christ Consciousness of love and understanding. That is the love that God has for all of us.

It breaks my heart when I hear of people praying for God to destroy President Obama or casting spells on President Trump. Seriously? That’s the opposite of everything Jesus stood for. Jesus knew and tried to impress upon his followers that we are all one with Love.

Resurrecting the Divine Feminine

earth goddess

As a child I was taught that Easter was a Pagan holiday and therefore an evil holiday.

We believed that Jesus was born on April 6th. That he died on his 33rd birthday, followed three days later with his mysterious resurrection. Rather than an Easter celebration we had a birthday celebration, with birthday cake and all. It was a celebration of Jesus in his physical life and his promise of eternal life.

Slowly the eggs, bunnies and other “worldly” aspects of Easter sneaked their way into our secluded community. For many years I felt very confused about what bunnies and eggs had to do with The Christ’s resurrection. Long after many families in the community gave up the strictness surrounding the celebration of Pagan holidays, my father was a stickler about it. My first official Easter egg hunt didn’t come until I had kids of my own and a real reason to celebrate. Until recently I did not understand what father meant by “Pagan” and now I finally do.

Knowing what I now know, Easter has a whole new meaning. For me it is a celebration of resurrecting the Divine Feminine.

There is nothing bad or evil about Paganism. What could be so wrong with celebrating our Mother? Why did we feel it so necessary at one point in our human evolution to belittle the Divine Feminine and reduce Her to nothing more than dirt? In reducing Her and all of Her qualities we have nearly destroyed our home. As we created the belief that the God is only masculine, we forgot about our feminine. As we forgot about our Mother we deprived ourselves of really knowing Her unconditional love, compassion and support. And yet, even without Her acknowledgement, She has continued to support us, feed us, clothe us, heal us and love us. She has continued to shower us with Her abundance, even as we bleed Her dry and abuse Her. That is unconditional love of a mother. Unconditional love is not the narcissistic and egotistic love of the Divine Masculine I was raised with.

We now live in an amazing time of our human evolution, when more and more of us are waking up from our dark slumber and rising above our fear-based beliefs.

This is the time of the great resurrection and ascension that has been foretold. It simply doesn’t look the way so many expect it to look. It is the resurrection of the Christ Consciousness. It is the resurrection of unconditional love, that energy that is at the heart of the Divine Feminine. We are restoring the Divine Feminine to Her rightful place in balance and equality with the Divine Masculine, as we now understand that both masculine and feminine are necessary for all creation. As humanity comes together as one family we now see the true value of feminine qualities and propensities. After thousands of years of being put down and treated with worthlessness, true feminine qualities are being restored to their true power. Reminding us that love really is the most powerful force in the universe.

In resurrection the Divine Feminine and Her love-based energies we are restoring balance to the planet. With Her comes the much needed love, compassion, healing, communication, creativity and abundance that is needed to mend and re-create our world.

A New Era

Ten years ago this morning I stood on my patio contemplating my future. It was the one year anniversary of my mother’s passing and I was scheduled for my first OB visit a few hours later. I pondered with sadness that my baby would never know its grandmother. Then the quiet pondering was shattered by news that made me wonder about the choice I had made to bring a baby into the world. America was under attack and the world as we knew it would never be the same.

I wonder what went through the mind of my father that morning. He was obsessed with predictions and prophesies regarding the end of days. As a child we spend every Wednesday evening in a Family Home Meeting which was essentially church at home.  On those family evening my father discussed openly his views and perceptions of how the world would end and a new era begin. As a child every event in the news was a prediction about the world coming to an end. The explosion of Mt. Saint Helen darkened our skies and caused the sun to hide its face; at first it was the end of the world, then the realization several hours later that it was just a volcano erupting. No doubt my father saw the attack on the World Trade Center the beginning of the battle with the Middle East and the battle of Armageddon.  My father passed away a few years ago and I never thought to get his opinion of the attack on American soil.

The effect that was intended by those who attacked our people was not the effect they had hoped for.  It was the end of the world for many and the beginning of end of days as I see it. It was the beginning of a new era, not just for America, but for the world. That attack on us caused us to open our eyes and come together as one nation.  It caused us to begin to see humanity as one family and one people. It was the beginning of the return of Christ Consciousness and the resurrection of the Divine Feminine; a return to the energies of unconditional love and compassion. While the battles rage over the minds, hearts, bodies and prosperity of the people, their souls are being lifted up with new enlightenment.

Many contest that they are waiting for the physical return of Jesus to save them, just as they expected him to save them 2000 years ago.  His message of Love, Light and our individual connection to the Creator was the message intended to liberate humanity, not after we die, but right here in the physical realm. The energy of his message is being reawakened as more and more people begin to understand what the return and ascension really is. It is a new way of being for all of humanity, a coming together in peace and harmony for the good of the whole. It is a lifting up of our consciousness and way of being.  We are in the beginning of a new era that can only come into effect as the old way crumbles. While many can only see and feel the darkness of these end of times, there are many whose eyes look forward into a new enlightened future with hope and gratitude.
