Getting Stoned

For me, getting stoned has a completely different frame of reference than it probably does for most people. It really has to do with being stoned.

I almost never remember my dreams but this one stuck with me. I had a dream last night about a young giraffe. It had done something wrong and was standing in the dirt and tied to a tall Palm tree unable to move. A group of men were standing around it and throwing rocks at it to punish it for what it had done. In the dream I stood off to the side watching helplessly. I thought to myself, “That poor giraffe, I wonder how it feels not knowing why people are throwing rocks at it.” Then a voice in my head said, “You know exactly how it feels, remember.”

Then I woke up and realized that I was the giraffe. A memory from my childhood young_giraffe_on_white_background_600came flooding back. I recall I was around eleven years old. Some people called me a giraffe because of my long, thin neck.

What I Think about Polygamy Now

What do I really think about polygamy? Well that has changed over the years from thinking it was something God expected of me, to seeing it as a religious abuse and a human rights abuse against women and everything in between.

Having multiple sex partners and making lots of love sounds fabulous in theory, yet in reality I believe it is sadly missing the most crucial elements for genuine joy. It is important to understand that joy and happiness are two different things. Happiness is an emotion that can be generated in the belief that we are happy. It is generated by the perception of our choices and actions. Some people are perfectly happy in their misery, not realizing that joy is accessible. Joy is a state of being and occurs when we are fulfilled within ourselves and we no longer live our lives by the beliefs and expectations of anyone or anything else outside of ourselves. It is the result of our heart working to its full potential in alignment with our own inner truth.

Back to polygamy. Polygamy stems from a time in our human history when women were owned and collected by men and traded along with other livestock to build the kingdoms of men. King Solomon had hundreds of wives because he was a king with a very wealthy kingdom. Men gave him their daughters to earn favor with the king and in the hopes that their daughters would have a better life.

What does that have to do with today’s polygamy? Polygamy, now (except where polyamory is practiced – the newest hip term for open relationships, and a few ancient cultures where polyandry is practiced) only exists in cultures and belief systems where women are still recognized as being worth less than men and is justified by religion, otherwise recognized as religiously coerced polygyny. Some argue that it should be a person’s choice and yet any choice based in coercion, when there is a proverbial gun held at your head, isn’t really a free-will choice. It is a choice based in fear and is among the fear-based beliefs I often speak of.

Taking it a step further and assuming it is a choice based in freedom, there are still other issues to consider. It is nearly impossible to have a relationship that is balanced in the masculine and feminine when the numbers are lopsided. In a world where we are attempting to create balance and equality, polygamy simply does not make sense. The more women in the relationship the more masculine and authoritarian the man in the relationship is. That is why extremely authoritarian men are drawn to this form of relationship. The practice of polygyny also causes an imbalance among men. Men who are the most desirable attract the most women, leaving ordinary men without partners. Studies have shown that this imbalance increases violence in men and more hatred toward women. Precisely the opposite of the masculine/feminine balance and mutual respect so many of us are working to create.

And one more thought for consideration. Polygamy is heart breaking, or at the very least prevents the heart from working to its full potential. Women must guard their heart and cannot allow themselves to fully and completely love and connect with their husbands, simply because it hurts too much, and lovemaking lacks the creation of love. It also prevents men from opening up their heart and giving to their full ability out of the fear propagating jealousy and resentment between their wives. And yet, this is sold as love and beauty. What kind of love is it when we intentionally block our hearts from loving and creating to their greatest capacity?

In all honesty I don’t think polygamy can work until the world finally recognizes, once and for all, that men and women are equal. That if men can have more than one wife, women should be allowed the same courtesy, and that love can and should be given openly and freely without fear, coercion or jealousy.  It is certainly not my cup of tea, but in a perfect world it just might work. In a perfect world!

Ascending Above Religion

Separation is an illusion.

There is no separation between us and our innate divinity and there is no separation between us and all that is.  This belief that we are separate from God and that we must earn the right to Heaven through penance to religion is in illusion created to block us from discovering the truth. The truth that we are all One with God.

The illusion of separation has pitted humanity against each other and prevented us from recognizing and embracing our own truth. The veil of separation many of us have been taught to believe in only exists when we believe it does and is an illusion that was created to keep us under control through the ambiguity of fear. Where this belief came from, and whether it was fed to us consciously or not, is irrelevant. It is simply a part of our collective evolution and we are outgrowing it.

Love conquers all.

The supremacy, competition and separation that are based in fear are coming to an end. The time of control-over and victim-under is coming to an end. The time of obedience and submission is coming to an end. The time of master and servant is coming to an end. The time of masculine dominance and feminine subordination is coming to an end. As these archaic beliefs of fear and separation come to an end, a time of love and oneness is emerging.

The time of a new earth based in love has come, as the Divine Feminine emerges to take Her place in balance and equality. With Her return she brings love, compassion, understanding, collaboration, clarity, creativity, healing and the nurturing of all of humanity. She loves her children without fear, guilt or expectation and sees the infinite possibilities that exist for us individually and collectively. She encourages us through love rather than obedience through fear. She inspires us to open our eyes in wonder, rather asking that we see only through blind faith. She loves all of Her children equally.

Now comes the time that we recognize that human rights must take precedence and that all beings are deserving of respect, dignity and equality. The time of understanding that human rights are our Divine birthright, and that all other rights are man-made. The energies of transformation, understanding, and unity are now overriding fundamentalism, judgment and separation. It is time for love to conquer all, because love really is the most powerful force in the Universe and it is all there really is. Everything else is an illusion based in the limitations of our ancient physical understanding.

Suffering is no longer necessary.

Suffering is no longer necessary to get us to God and never has been, that has always been part of the illusion of fear and control. The illusion of fear and separation is coming to an end as all truths are revealed and much of humanity is ready to ascend above religion. We have evolved into our own truth and connection to Spirit without the limitations and constrictions of dogma. Each one of us now has the ability, for the first time in our human history, to make conscious free-will choices as all truths are brought into the light. We are no longer limited by the information that is fed to us by controlled sources.  We can choose to no longer be manipulated by fear and coercion. We can each choose actions and perceptions that limit us individually and collectively, or we choose actions and perceptions that liberate us individually and collectively. We can choose to follow our own truths, rather than the beliefs that others have placed upon us.

Every belief we have, every word we speak and every action we take ultimately affects all of humanity and our collective evolution. We are all co-creators of our reality and we can choose to no longer buy into the belief that we are separate.  We are all One with all that is, and each of us play a role in our collective, conscious evolution. It is up to each of us to recognize that we are all One with each other and One with that which many call God. Together we create a new reality based in love rather than fear.

Those of us who have ascended above religion are here to teach others how to find their own truth, follow their own path and find their own connection to Spirit.
